Over 1,500 acres catch fire west of Copan Lake and south of Highway 10.

Bartlesville Radio reported on the wildfire as the event transpired, but it was confirmed on Monday morning that a controlled burn that got out of control on Saturday had rekindled and scorched more of the land on Sunday afternoon.

Washington County District 1 and District 2 crews were out to provide aid during the wildfire. Commissioner Mitch Antle talks about the response from his crew, stating both district's pulled tanker trucks to the scene. Antle says they were able to provide up to 10,000 gallons of water in ready access to first responders. He says he believes this is a wonderful resource that they have been able to utilize in the community.

Eight fire departments and resources from the Bureau of Indian Affairs were utilized to combat the flames for several hours. No injuries were sustained and not structures were damaged as a result of this wildfire.
