A Cherokee Nation Councilwoman pays a special visit to a non-profit in Bartlesville.

Dora Smith-Patzkowski of the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council dropped by Ray of Hope Advocacy Center, Inc., on Monday. The Councilwoman presented the organization with a $5,000 donation from Cherokee Nation.

In a statement, Dora Smith-Patzkowski said:

"Cherokee Nation and local communities working together for a better tomorrow."

Ray of Hope has a mission to facilitate a coordinated, community response and to provide hope and support to children and families impacted by abuse.
