Hennesy Breaks Down Friday's Game Against Cashion

The Pawhuska Huskies fell short against Cashion in the Class A State semifinals for a second consecutive season, losing 35-31 on Friday night in Ponca City. Coach Matt Hennesy broke that game down this week and talked about how he knew points would be at a premium, hence the reason Kooper Kyler was three of three on field goal opportunities.
In last year's game, Hennesy said they didn't have to worry about the quarterback taking off and running. Hennesy says that, combined with Cashion's strong offensive line was the difference in the game.
Cashion scored on a 44-yard slant pattern to take the 35-31 lead with 3:27 to go in the game, but Hennesy felt confident his team could go down the field and score. The Huskies got deep into Wildcat territory before turning the ball over on downs. Hennesy said his team played hard, Cashion was just the better team on Friday evening.
Pawhuska finishes the season with a 10-3 record.
