Governor Kevin Stitt's recent visit to Dewey lifts morale in town.

Dewey Mayor Tom Hays says Gov. Stitt's visit to Dewey last week was a bright spot. Hays says it was wonderful to have Stitt over for a tour of the town's industrial park. He says Stitt visited with the owners of Amarekan Manufacturing and ALLtra Corporation.

Mayor Hays says Gov. Stitt, Senator Julie Daniels, Representative Judd Strom and Rep. Wendi Stearman got to have a one-on-one conversation with the owners of each manufacturing business. Hays says they got to see firsthand what these businesses have to offer. He says he was pleased with the questions and the attentiveness of our state leaders

City Manager Kevin Trease says he believes the contact that these businesses made with Gov. Stitt will greatly benefit them in the future. Trease says they are grateful to the owners for welcoming them in. He says their hospitality was incredible.

Trease says they are grateful that Gov. Stitt spent some of his time in Dewey. He says it showed them a lot.

Gov. Stitt says companies like Amarekan Manufacturing and ALLtra Corporation know firsthand that Oklahoma is open for business. Amarekan just moved to Dewey, America from Texas and ALLtra is an established industrial park resident that sends materials to groups such as SpaceX.

The City of Dewey has 40-acres available for future businesses looking to come to the area. Both Mayor Hays and Trease say that Dewey is open for business.
