The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $2,000 contribution to Hopestone Cancer Support Center. Debbie Halpin, executive director of Hopestone accepted the check along with Lyndee Taylor of Comforting Hands Hospice and Stephen Fluharty of Real Okie Superheroes.

The funds from the Arvest Foundation were used for gift bags for Kids Kamp, a fun-filled day for children living with cancer and their siblings. This year, the event was held virtually with superheroes delivering the gift bags to the homes of participants of Kids Kamp. The children were able to take part in virtual arts and crafts, fun activities, and receive a gift bag.

“Kids Kamp is a special day,” said Halpin. “We are thankful to the Arvest Foundation for helping us create a little joy in the lives of our children and their families. It is more than Hopestone supporting them and putting smiles on their faces, it is the whole community.”

Hopestone’s mission is to support and empower the cancer community of Bartlesville and the surrounding region through fellowship, support assistance, exercise, education and the arts.
