Friday night's game for the Barnsdall Panthers was one for the record books, as they trailed 28-0 early in the third quarter, but stormed back to get a thrilling 36-34 victory. Freshman quarterback Maverick Lamphear and teammate Braden Byers were instrumental in that comeback.

Lamphear had nearly 300 yards passing and tallied four touchdowns. Byers had eight tackles and caught the game-tying touchdown pass with 13 seconds left. Byers had this to say on the thrilling come from behind win.

Coach Kylee Sweeney credits his coaching staff for making some halftime adjustments and getting the Panthers back in the ballgame.

Even with no timeouts remaining and only 90 seconds to score the game-tying touchdown, Sweeney was confident the Panthers could find the end zone, as they practice the two-minute drill weekly. Sweeney goes through the final sequence.

Barnsdall will now host Drumright for homecoming. Sweeney says after the Tornadoes are much improved from a year ago and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Barnsdall High School. Homecoming festivities will start at 6:30 p.m.
