A contract has officially been approved for courtroom renovations to begin at the Washington County Courthouse in downtown Bartlesville.

The Washington County Commissioners unanimously approved an official contract on Monday morning with RECO Construction out of Tulsa for the work to begin. This item was approved a week after the Commissioners awarded a construction bid to RECO in the amount of $328,372 with an alternate reduction of $23,635 for courtroom seating.

Architect Dan Keleher says RECO Construction now has a 20 to 30 day signing process to go through with subcontractors. He said the project could begin in a month or so.
