Bartlesville softball is at home against Jenks in another district contest for the Lady Bruins on the diamond.

BHS has performed well this year, the Lady Bruins are 10-8. However, with four weeks left in the regular season, the district contests will take on an added importance. Bartlesville is 5-4 in District action, and currently sits in fourth place out of eight teams in 6A-3.

Jenks is just ahead of Bartlesville at 4-3 overall and in third place. The Lady Trojans beat Bartlesville 4-0 in South Tulsa a week ago. Defense has been particularly good for BHS of late. The Lady Bruins have surrendered only 2.6 runs per game over their past two weeks of action.

Head coach Kyle Minton talks about different defensive strategy.

A 5:30 scheduled first pitch on Tuesday afternoon. BHS will also have a home District game on Thursday against Sand Springs.

Elsewhere in softball on Tuesday: Dewey faces Holland Hall. The Dewey softball team continues to be one of the best in the state, at 18-1 on the year.

Also Nowata heads to Caney Valley. Pawhuska travels to Crescent. Copan hosts Bluejacket. Barnsdall takes on Foyil and Oklahoma Union has Fairland at home.
