We are two months away from local high school football kicking things off again this fall, but Pawhuska continues to turn heads in the offseason.

The Huskies won a 7-on-7 tournament over this past weekend in Bixby. Pawhuska went 6-0-1 in seven contests. The Huskies are looking to take another step forward after going 13-0 before a loss in the Class A semifinals a season ago.

Head coach Matt Hennesy told us earlier this summer that the Pawhuska offense has a chance to be even more lethal this fall.

The main threat for first-year quarterback Todd Drummond will likely be Mason Gilkey, who committed to Oklahoma State this past offseason.

We will have more on Pawhuska football later on this week, you can listen to the Huskies this fall on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM, and watch the games on KPGMTV.com
