A GoFundMe account has been created for a former Bartlesville native who was involved in a traffic accident on Friday.

Qemar Gray, the organizer of the fundraiser, said Windell Bruner III was put into the ICU Friday night after hydroplaning on his way to a football game. He said the accident left Bruner with a broken back, collapsed lungs and lacerations on his face and body.

After two surgeries, doctors informed friends and family that Bruner would be paralyzed from the waist down.

"We are staying hopeful because we know God has the final say, and we believe one day Windell will walk," Gray said. "It will be a long, hard journey to get there. Until then, we ask for prayers and support from his community."

Bruner graduated from Bartlesville High School in 2014.

If you would like to give, the GoFundMe account can be found here.
