The Nowata County Commissioners heard an update on new 911 addresses for the county at Monday morning’s regularly scheduled meeting. 911 Trust Authority Jerome Gnatek said nearly all notices have been mailed out to county residents.

Gnatek says if you live in Nowata County and do not receive written notice of your new address in the mail by Friday, March 19 you need to call him at 918-991-9411. Gnatek talks about the new addresses.

Citizens will be able to use their new address within a few weeks. However, Gnatek has been instructed that the post office will have the old and new addresses on file for the next six months.

Gnatek has received several returned letters for addresses in the Wann area due vacant residences and split lots. Letters have been received at a high rate in most other parts of Nowata County.
