Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball has a solo game on the road at Ottawa on Thursday night. The Eagles have not won a game at the Wilson Fieldhouse since 2011. OKWU has lost its last three matchups at Ottawa by a combined nine points. OKWU head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about playing on the road.

The Eagles won last year against Ottawa in the finals of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament. OKWU has its sight set on another run towards the conference title.

Despite two separate shutdowns due to COVID-19 the Eagles are still near the top of the KCAC standings. OKWU is 7-2 overall and is 5-1 in conference. The NAIA coaches’ poll was released on Wednesday and the Eagles were third among teams receiving votes that didn’t crack the top 25.

OKWU at Ottawa is set for 7 p.m. on Sportstalk 99.1 FM KPGM.
