Pawhuska and Mooreland Set for Friday
Pawhuska football is in the Class A Quarterfinals, following a blowout victory over Warner this past Friday. Huskies won easily, beating the Eagles 58-0.
A quarterfinal matchup with the Mooreland Bearcats awaits on Friday night.
Pawhuska has had quite a bit of success in the playoffs over the past decade. This is the Huskies fourth appearance in the quarterfinals since 2009.
Pawhuska advanced this far in 2009, 2011, 2019 and now in 2020. This past Friday’s win was the first in the postseason after having 21 days off, and head coach Matt Hennesy says he wants his guys to get back into a routine sooner rather than later.
Mooreland comes into Friday night’s game at 7-5. The Bearcats had only won four games in the regular season, before beating Mangum, Minco and Crescent in the postseason in consecutive weeks.
Kick from Ormond Beach Stadium on Friday at 7:00 PM on 99.1 FM – KPGM and KPGMTV.com.
Pawhuska improved to 11-0 with the win last week.
