The Caney Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office have one person in custody for late Sunday night robbery at the Casey's General Store in Caney.

The CPD said this is an active investigation and officers are expected to make at least one more arrest. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Officer and the Caney Police Department are working the case together as other crimes occurred in the county. Police Chief Kevin Kitterman said the CPD will release more information as they progress with their investigation.

Earlier on Monday, the Caney Police Department said the Casey’s in Caney was robbed at gunpoint just before 12:30 in the morning. Police reported that the suspect was wearing an Army green shirt, blue jeans and flip flops. The suspect was also said to be wearing a black mask. The Caney Police Department said the suspect is approximately six-feet, two-inches tall and 150lbs.
