ConocoPhillips donated 10,000 disposable masks to the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation.

This donation supports Bartlesville Public Schools and their efforts to safely reopen schools on Thursday, Aug. 13th. Blair Ellis, the Executive Director for the BPS Foundation, has talked in recent weeks about the importance of getting personal protective equipment for students over the course of the summer while kids are at home.

No one fully knows what school will look like in the fall at this point because of COVID-19. However, the Bartlesville Public Schools District is being conscientious and is exercising caution to be prepared for any and every scenario they might face when school starts.

Ellis said they are fortunate to have this kind of community support for the staff and students within the Bartlesville Public Schools. This donation comes days after the Arvest Foundation donated $15,000 to the BPS Foundation so the group could acquire personal protective equipment and related supplies for a safe reopening of schools in the midst of COVID-19.

These provisions include face coverings, plastic partitions and social distancing signage as needed. These crucial supplies will provide safety measures for students, teachers and staff for them to return to school safely.
