You are invited to join the Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville in celebrating Independence Day with Freedom Fest presented by the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise this Thursday evening featuring fun for the entire family.

Appearing on KWON’s Community Connection Monday with Tom Davis, Freedom Fest co-chair Nathan Thompson mapped out the downtown festival as being located on Second Street between Johnstone and Keeler and Dewey.

Thompson says the main stage will be between Hideaway Pizza and Arvest Bank.

The event will feature food, vendors, a singing competition, inflatables, the Patriotic Kids Costume Contest and a fireworks finale. Freedom Fest officially begins at 7 p.m. after a hot dog eating contest at 5:30pm.

According to Thompson, there will be about ten food trucks at the venue to provide a wide range food and beverages for Fest-goers.

The fireworks will start at 9:45 p.m., after the Glen Winget Memorial baseball tournament’s last pitch at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
