A Bartlesville man was arrested on Thursday after nearly an ounce of marijuana was found in his possession. Christian Mclain appeared at the Washington County Courthouse on Friday facing a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

According to an affidavit, an officer initiated a traffic stop of Mclain’s truck. Dispatch confirmed that Mclain’s license was suspended. Mclain stated that he didn’t have his license but he was just returning the truck. The officer immediately noticed a strong odor resembling marijuana coming the vehicle.

Mclain stated he did not have a medical marijuana license. Officers then searched the vehicle and found a digital scale as well as other items of paraphernalia. The search then produced a large bag of marijuana in a box from the back seat of the truck. Mclain claimed the marijuana was not his. The total amount weighed in at just over 24 grams. Mclain saw his bond set at $10,000.
