Washington County Commissioner Mike Dunlap with District Three discussed a letter from the Delaware Tribe of Indians Monday. The letter was presented in the county commissioners' regular meeting and the letter regarded the Silver Lake Delaware Cemetery.

Dunlap said the road to the cemetery has become too rough to drive on. The Washington County Commissioners accepted a proposal to chip and seal the road leading to the cemetery in exchange for maintenance of the property.

The Commissioners signed an Oklahoma Department of Transportation form for $350 for a Bison Road and Durham Road later in the meeting. Chairman Mitch Antle signed the form despite Commissioner Mike Bouvier's absence in the meeting. The form for engineering services for utility relocation is intended for District 2 - the district Bouvier oversees. Antle signed the form in the hope that ODOT would still process the form without Bouvier's signature.

Reports from the Washington County Health Department and the County Election Board for the month of February were heard next. Following that, the Commissioners approved a request from the Treasurer's Office to allocate $14,045 in alcoholic beverage taxes. To end the meeting, the Commissioners declared a 1991 Ford utility truck as surplus.
