A Bartlesville man was found with methamphetamine and counterfeit money after being caught shoplifting at Walmart. Michael Lowe appeared at the Washington County Courthouse facing charges of shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and destroying evidence for an incident that took place on Wednesday.

Court documents state that Lowe attempted to take a wallet and watch from the store. The combined value of the items totaled less than $500. Police also found a small amount of methamphetamine within Lowe’s possession. Lowe was also witnessed in an attempt to destroy counterfeit money after he was caught.

Lowe has extensive legal history including several incidents of a similar nature. Bond for Lowe was set at $1,000.
