Washington County Associate Judge Russel Vaclaw will step out of the classroom for his anti-bullying seminar this year. Normally Judge Vaclaw has given his seminar to thousands of kids in virtually every school in the area over the course of several years.

Oklahomans for Equality Bartlesville will host Vaclaw's seminar and says that he will speak to the general public this year. Vaclaw says he will teach parents and others about the consequences of cyber bullying. He will also equip them with ways to protect their children.

According to Vaclaw, parents have to confront the issue of cell phones and social media. He says that the kids do not technically own the phones. The phones are the property of the parent and it is their responsibility to provide accountability for their children, Vaclaw says. There are apps that are available that parents can download and he will be talking about those apps in his seminar.

The multimedia presentation by Vaclaw will be held at the Heritage Theater Cafe and Pub on Tuesday, March 12. Vaclaw will speak at 7 p.m. and the event will last until 8:30 that night. He will take questions when he is through with his anti-bullying presentation. There is no cost to attend the event.
