Superintendents from several area school districts will speak at a Monday Public Education Advocates for Kids panel. Those superintendents will come from Bartlesville, Dewey, Caney Valley, Copan, Bowring and Oklahoma Union.

PEAK member Dan Droege says the public needs to keep raising awareness to Oklahoma legislators. He says community support really built up a year ago and says the community should hold on to that momentum. Forums, Droege says, are a good way to hold on to the momentum as issues surrounding inadequate funding for schools arise.

Droege says PEAK aims to increase per-pupil funding for all public schools while creating more support for local classrooms. The panel discussion will take place on Monday, March 4th at St. Luke's Church in Bartlesville. School superintendents will speak in Metcalf Hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Droege says Bartlesville Superintendent Chuck McCauley will highlight the event.
