District Director Ken White for the Cherokee Area Council Boy Scouts of America says there will be another banquet in the foreseeable future. He says the dinner will be there annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet for those who have a positive impact on BSA in the area. President's Awards and the highest council award - the Silver Beaver award - will be presented during the banquet. On top of that, there will be great fellowship on display.

White invites everyone in the public to attend the event. He also extends an invitation to volunteers that have not been active in scouting in a long time that may want to see what's going on with scouting in the Cherokee Area Council today.

While pre-registration to the event is not required, White says they would love to know if you would like to attend the event. The Volunteer Recognition Banquet will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 p.m. inside St. John's Catholic Church. For more information, you can contact them at 918.336.9170.
