The Washington County Board of Commissioners met at 9 o'clock on Monday morning for their first of the month meeting.

Several items were approved, including a proclamation that the week of May 6 be Oklahoma Home and Community Education Week. The commissioners also approved a transfer of funds from the Washington County Treasurer's Office to supplemental security income and social security income payments for inmates.

During the Commissioners' Report, Commissioner Mitch Antle discussed that he was working with several entities regarding railroad crossings. A discussion was then had that there may be a shortage on road chips used to repair roads, and the commissioners would need to be aware and prepared for the summer. Commissioner Mike Dunlap briefly noted that the trash pickup day in Ramona was successful and mowing would be starting soon.

All other items were approved, and all recites were received. The Washington County Board of Commissioners will meet again next Monday morning at 9:30 in the Commissioners Meeting Room.
