The Pawhuska City Council welcomed their new interim City Manager Larry Eulert at their November meeting on Tuesday night, Eulert will serve as City Manager for at least 60 days or until a permanent fill for the position has been hired. Two action items were tabled at the meeting one of which was the nomination of board members for the Historic District Commission. The Commission was re-established at the meeting however the Council wished to provide the potential board nominees an opportunity to accept or decline the position. Several names were mentioned but no action was taken at this meeting and the item was tabled.

The City Council also tabled a motion to terminate the $4 utility payment currently paid by Pawhuska residents which is earmarked for the hospital. The payment was a remnant from when the City was paying to keep the hospital's doors open, however the hospital has drastically improved revenue and is currently building a new clinic. However the council wished to have the hospital staff speak on whether the termination of the utility charge will have an adverse effect.

Lastly, interim City Manager Larry Eulert provided the monthly comments during which he brought more bad news for OMPA customers in Pawhuska. OMPA is increasing their electric rate by 2.91 percent, as part of a fuel cost adjustment. The increase will be represented on Pawhuska customer's future electric bill.

The Pawhuska City Council meets the first Tuesday on every month at 5:30 at Pawhuska City Hall.
