A traffic stop near the Cherokee Casino in Ramona led to the arrest of a Tulsa woman. Rosa Lazarin stood before a judge at the Washington County Courthouse on Thursday facing charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

According to affidavit, an officer noticed Lazarin make a swerving maneuver as she was leaving the casino. The officer got behind Lazarin’s pickup truck in attempt to pull her over when she sped up to 80 miles per hour and again swerved over the center line before finally pulling off the roadway.

The officer approached the vehicle and saw two people inside the cab of the truck but neither were in the driver’s seat. The officer questioned Lazarin who said the driver of the vehicle had ran off and she had only consumed “one beer.” When asked to provide a driver’s license Lazarin said she didn’t know if she had one.

Lazarin’s next court date is set for November 17 and her bond was set at $10,000.
