Longtime Bartlesville resident Bob Pomeroy has joined the Rogers State University Foundation as a board member.  Pomeroy serves with 20 other community leaders representing RSU campuses in Bartlesville, Claremore and Pryor.

RSU Foundation leaders looked at Pomeroy's 31 of his 39 years with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville.  They say his community involvement, marketing expertise and sales background give him a unique perspective on expanding educational opportunities and enhancing campus experiences for Bartlesville students.

Pomeroy say during the last 10 years he worked for Phillips he served as the Director of Sponsorships and worked with several NCAA conferences including Big XII, Conference USA, Mountain West, Big 10, and PAC 10.  Je also oversaw Phillips' NASCAR team and set up sponsorships at numerous universities including Tulsa, OU, OSU, Oral Roberts, and many of the Big XII schools.

As a Bartlesville representative on the Foundation board, Pomeroy says he hopes to see more four-year degree programs in Bartlesville so people can begin and complete their degrees at the Bartlesville campus.
