We are less than two weeks away from the start of high school football season.  The Nowata Ironmen have their new coach Cory James to guide the team for success this season.  Although the numbers are low, most of the returning lineup are skilled position players, but the main concern is the interior lines.  Most of the players who played on the offense and defense lines graduated.  Nowata's Jacob Robertson and Jacob Barnes are the returning linemen.  Robertson said that there's a lot of pressure on him and Barnes.

Barnes said that getting a district championship would be something to remember.

Nowata opens up the 2016 season on Friday, August 26th at Salina.
