Republican candidates for the Kansas State Senate District 15 seat will face each other Friday night.  Coffeyville's Windsor Event Center will be the site of the debate between Virgil Peck of Hanvana and Dan Goddard of Parsons.  The winner of the primary will face Democrat Chuck Schmidt in the November General Election.

Coffeyville's 690, KGGF will broadcast the debate.  News Director Debra Woodall will be assisted in the questioning by KWON's News Director, Charlie Taraboletti.

Woodall says the goal is to provide an opportunity for the candidates to have equal time to discuss the issues that affect residents of southeast Kansas.  General Manager of KGGF, John Leonard says he is excited to provide the forum as a community service.  He says his group of stations is committed to local news and the debate is an example of the type of things he wasts to provide.

The debate is sponsored by Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and Muller Construction.
