Doug Sonenberg Win Commissioner Seat

Nowata County Commissioner Doug Sonenberg will serve another four-year term after defeating Democrat challenger Bob Johnson 57 percent to 43 percent.  Sonenberg received 113 votes to Johnson's 86 votes.  Sonenberg said that he's pleased with the results.

Sonenberg also mentioned that Nowata County has a bright future.

The Nowata City Commission Ward two seat went to Brad Perkins as he won by two votes over J.T. Walton 32 to 30. 

In other Nowata County Election results, Julie Daniels got 64 percent of the vote for State Senate District 29.  U.S. Representative Markwayne Mullin won Nowata County with 73 percent of the vote on the Republican primary while Joshua Harris-Till won Nowata County with 56 percent in the Democrat primary.
