A Tulsa woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a tax fraud scheme. Chanesha Makala Jones and her husband, Cory Mack Jones, were each charged and pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the government and two counts of false claims against the government. Makala Jones filed false tax returns using stolen personal information.

The scheme created refunds more than $472,000 from the United States Treasury. The case was investigated by the United States Secret Service and the IRS.
