Spokesman for Eggberts Restaurants, Byron Boles has spoken out on a story concerning a woman who was breastfeeding a child in the restaurant that was in the news over the weekend .  Boles acknowledged the concerns of those who have spoken out.  He appreciates the importance of a mother’s right to breast feed her child in  public.  He says Eggbert’s staff and many long-time customers are well aware that Eggberts has always welcomed women’s right to breast feed in their restaurants.

Boles says it has simply never been an issue before.   Boles says with that in mind, Eggberts not only strives to protect the rights of customers but also strives to protect the reputation of its business.  He says Eggbergs has engaged the Tulsa-based law firm, Norman, Wohlgemuth, Chandler, Jeter, Barnett, & Ray to pursue claims that have been made and actions taken against the business.  Boles says he trusts that the judicial system will ultimately resolve the issue in a manner entirely consistent with Eggberts’ established policies and the truth.

Boles says Eggberts requests that their customers and the community extend patience, calm, and support while the parties work through the legal process.  Boles goes on to say that social media is a powerful tool and it can also become a powerful weapon.  He says Eggberts will not tolerate being involuntarily used and victimized as a vehicle to advocate a social issue without consent or good cause.
