OKWU Baseball Will Play In NCCAA Regionals

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles quest to qualify in the NAIA Playoffs for the third straight year didn't happen.  The NAIA released their 45-team field Friday afternoon leaving the Eagles out. OKWU was hoping to get an at-large berth.  Only three teams from the KCAC qualified: Tabor, Sterling, and York College.

The season is not over yet for OKWU as they will play in the NCCAA Central Regional Tournament at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.  The tournament will be from May 17-21.  Oklahoma Wesleyan will take on Crowley's Ridge on Tuesday, May 17th at 9:30 A.M.  The Regional Champion will move on to the NCCAA World Series.  The Eagles won the NCCAA World Series in 2010.

Here's the schedule of the NCCAA Regional at OBU:

Tuesday, May 17th- #3 OKWU (38-21) vs. Crowley's Ridge (20-25) 9:30 A.M.- Game 1

                                    #2 Southwestern Christian (41-12) vs. Ecclesia (26-22)  12:30 P.M- Game 2

                                    #4 McMurry (20-20) vs. Dallas Christian (20-34)  3:30 P.M-Game 3.

                      #1 Oklahoma Baptist University (33-15) vs. Hillsdale Baptist (13-41)  7 P.M- Game 4

 

Wednesday, May 18th-  Loser game 1 vs. Loser game 2- 9:30 A.M.

                                           Loser game 3 vs. Loser game 4- 12.30 P.M.

                                           Winner game 1 vs. Winner game 2- 3:30 P.M.

                                           Winner game 3 vs. Winner game 4- 7:00 P.M.
