A special meeting with executive session is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon for Bartlesville Public School District members. The agenda shows that four candidates will be interviewed to fill the spot that will be left vacant at the end of the current school year.

During a school board meeting in October, long-time veteran school superintendent, Dr. Gary W. Quinn, announced his retirement. Dr. Quinn is in his seventeenth year of serving as superintendent for Bartlesville Public Schools, tying him for the longest serving superintendent in Bartlesville’s history.

Members of the community have taken part in the search, with an online survey and two public meetings to get input from Bartlesville residents. School board members have electronically reviewed applications and the search committee is now in the interview process. Dr. Quinn's retirement is effective June 30, 2016.
