A $50,000 bond has been set for a Copan man who allegedly was in possession of illegal drugs.  22-year old Alan Joseph McGuire is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.  Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office saw a vehicle backed into a ranch enterance located at the intersection of 1900 Road and 4000 Road in rural Washington County.  According to a court affidavit, the deputies saw two men inside the vehicle and looked suspicious.  McGuire told the deputies that he was waiting for his brothers.  Reportedly, the authorities found approximately 30 Q-tips and other paraphernalia.  The deputies searched McGuire and found a bag of meth.  The other individual, Justin Viles was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Osage County. 

Court records indicate that McGuire has another felony case pending in Washington County.  McGuire's next court date is March 4th.
