High Expectations for BHS Softball
Still in spring break across the area, but one Bartlesville High spring sport this year has some higher expectations than others.
The Bartlesville slow pitch softball team is hoping to get BHS softball into its third straight 6A State Tournament Apperances.
The Lady Bruins made state in slow pitch in the spring of 2024, then fast pitch this past fall of 2024. Most of the core of that group is back for slow pitch again in 2025.
Head coach Kyle Minton says he is not going to have his girls shy away from that success.
BHS entered spring break at 4-2. The Lady Bruins swept Owasso in a double-header just before the time off.
Minton says once basketball season ended, most everyone was out for the team. He says playing slow pitch does take some acclimation after having not played in 10 months.
BHS will next head to the Union Festival for a handful of games at the end of next week.
