Bruin Boys Golf 4th After Day 1

Day 1 of the 6A State Boy’s Golf Tournament is in the books, as there are 36 holes down and 18 to go at Hillcrest Country Club.
Tuesday is the second and final day of the tournament.
It was a solid day for Bartlesville High. The Bruins are in fourth as a team at 24 over par as and are only three shots out of second.
Both Jay Wasemiller and Hutson Coats shot even par in the first two rounds, which ties them for seventh individually.
As far as statewide, Edmond North is running away with the team title. The Huskies lead second place Edmond Santa Fe by 20 strokes. Santa Fe, Broken Arrow, Bartlesville and Norman are all within 11 shots of each other second through fifth with Stillwater and Bixby a bit further behind.
Individually it is Grady Thompson out of Santa Fe who leads the field at eight under par.
The Bruins begin teeing off at 8:00 on Tuessday morning on hole one. BHS will have one golfer tee off every 10 minutes from 8:00 until 8:40.
