TU and OSU Win NIT Openers

The state of Oklahoma has NIT fever, as both Tulsa and Oklahoma State survived close games at home to advance to the next round of the event on Tuesday night.
Tulsa beat Stephen F. Austin 89-84 in overtime at the Reynolds Center.
The Golden Hurricane fouled a Lumberback on a three-pointer just before the buzzer. SFA made all three free throws to force OT, but Tulsa made enough plays down the stretch to hold on. TU will take on UNLV at home this weekend.
Meanwhile a shorthanded Oklahoma State team held off Davidson 84-80 in Stillwater.
Cowboys were without Anthony Roy, Isiah Coleman and Victorius Miller for an undisclosed suspension. Pokes trailed throughout but Davidson went cold over the final four minutes.
This three from Kanye Clary helped give the Cowboys a lead.
Oklahoma State gets Wichita State at home in the second round this weekend.
