OKWU Hoops Opens NAIA Tournament Against SUNO

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball opens the NAIA national tournament on Friday night at home for Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO).
 
The Eagles enter the national tournament with an overall record of 28-3, and a 20-2 record in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). OKWU won the regular season and tournament conference championship.
 
OKWU's last game was last Tuesday in a one-point win over the Friends Falcons, 79-78. Head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about how his team has approached the time off.
 
Last season, the Eagles advanced all the way to the national championship game and finished as the national runner-up for the first time in program history. Bostwick talks about getting back to the tournament.
 
The Eagles clash with the Knights at 6 p.m. from the Mueller Sports Center. Coverage can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1, and on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM, 1500 AM - KPGM.
 
The Mueller Sports Center will also host Montana Tech and Oklahoma City University (OCU) in a first round matchup at 8 p.m. The winners of each game will play each other on Saturdat at 6 p.m.
