Pawhuska Loses to Fairview, Lady Huskies Still Alive

Ty Loftis
The Pawhuska Lady Huskies are limping into the area tournament following a 71-24 regional championship loss to the Fairview Lady Yellowjackets in the regional championship game on Saturday night. Pawhuska must now win three games in three days in order to advance to the Class 2A state tournament.
The game was never in doubt. Fairview led 20-8 at the end of the first quarter and held a comfortable 30 point lead at halftime. It was good to see freshman Mylee Jenson get going in the first frame though.
Emily Curry led all Pawhuska scorers, finishing with seven. The Lady Huskies will now travel to the Stride Bank Center in Enid on Thursday afternoon to take on Crescent in a game both teams must win to keep their season alive.
That game can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio streaming on KPGMTV.com.
