Busy Weekend Ahead for OKWU Athletics

Exciting times are on the horizon at Oklahoma Wesleyan University with three fall sports hosting opening round games in their respective national tournaments.

For the second year in a row, both OKWU soccer teams and Lady Eagle women's volleyball are hosting opening round matches in the NAIA national tournament.

All three teams are in action on Saturday. Inside the Mueller Sports Center, right after OKWU women's volleyball takes on Nelson College in the opening round at 1 p.m. OKWU basketball hosts a conference doubleheader.

Athletic Director Kirk Kelley said it's going to be an exciting day.

On the basketball court, this will be the first game since head men's coach Donnie Bostwick won his 500th career game. Kelley talked about what Bostwick has meant to the program.

Saturday's action gets started on the soccer field at 12 p.m. when the OKWU men's soccer team takes on Westcliff University. The Lady Eagles close out the day with a 4 p.m. kickoff against Mid-America Christian University.
