The Bartlesville  Lady Bruins opened postseason play with a dominant 6-0 shutout win over Putnam City North on Wednesday. Pitcher Alison Rosson was nearly untouchable in the circle, striking out 11 batters while giving up just two hits and one walk in a complete game performance. The Bruins’ offense came alive in the fourth inning, as Madie Nachbor and Kenzie Denny delivered key RBI hits to put Bartlesville ahead. Nachbor led the team with three runs batted in and finished 2-for-4 at the plate, while Denny and Lydia Daniels added production from the bottom of the lineup. The Bruins were disciplined at the plate, drawing six walks, and played a flawless game defensively, committing no errors.

The complete effort set the tone for the day as Bartlesville advanced to Game 2, where they faced Enid in a thrilling matchup that tested their resilience. After falling behind 6-0 in the second inning, the Bruins stormed back to take a dramatic 7-6 walk-off victory. Savannah Alden sparked the comeback with a three-run homer to right field in the fifth inning, trimming the deficit to just one run. Bartlesville tied the game in the final inning before Denny delivered the decisive hit, a single to right field that brought home the game-winning run and sent the Bruins’ dugout into celebration.

Pitcher Kelsie Yales earned the victory, striking out eight over seven innings while allowing just two earned runs. Alden led the way offensively with three RBIs, and the Bruins once again showed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks. Madie Nachbor and Alden each collected two hits, while teammates Lola Redington and Jazmyne Campbell worked two walks apiece to help fuel the rally. Defensively, Bartlesville turned a key double play to halt Enid’s momentum and give the offense a chance to complete the comeback.

With the two-win performance, Bartlesville advances in the playoffs and continues to build momentum at just the right time. The Bruins will next face the winner of Enid and Sapulpa today at 2 pm as they look to keep their postseason run alive. With Rosson and Yales both pitching well, and timely hitting coming from throughout the lineup, Bartlesville appears to be peaking when it matters most.
