Huskies Play Host to Pioneer Woman Classic

The Pawhuska Huskies are hosting the annual Pioneer Woman Classic on Friday night. Pawhuska, Dewey, Rejoice Christian and Sperry will all take the field at Ormond-Beach Memorial Stadium in a scrimmage before game action begins next week.
Scrimmages on both sides of the field will begin at 5 p.m. and two half games will start at 7 p.m. Rejoice Christian will play Sperry first and then Pawhuska will go up against Dewey at around 8:15 p.m. Pawhuska coach Matt Hennesy says the goal is to make those half games as close to a real game as it gets.
Heading into Friday night's contest, Hennesy said it isn't as much about looking for highlight making plays as it is seeing the consistency that he knows this group can produce.
Pawhuska kicks off the season in a week zero battle at home against Nowata. That game can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
