One college football team we have not talked enough about heading into the fall is Tulsa.

TU is the only in-state club breaking in a new head coach. Tre Lamb was tapped this past offseason to lead the Golden Hurricane into a new era of college football. Lamb comes to TU after successful stints at Gardner Webb and East Tennessee State.

He says that the geographical location of Tulsa should help the Golden Hurricane in recruiting. 

Tulsa finished last in the American Conference last year going 1-7. TU finished with only three wins, prompting the firing of former head coach Kevin Wilson after just his second season.

The Golden Hurricane opens its season against FCS Abilene Christian on Aug. 30. We will have TU football this fall on KRIG 104.9 with Bruce Howard on the call.
