We will get started with some fall sports this season on Monday, as Aug. 11 is the unofficial date for the start of high school softball and volleyball locally.

A lot of eyes will be on BHS softball this fall, as the Lady Bruins return their top pitchers and seven position players off a 6A State tournament team a year ago. However, you will have to wait a few more days than usual to see Bartlesville begin its season.

BHS will not play its first game until a week from Friday, that is nearly four days later than usual.

Head coach Kyle Minton explains why the wait for softball in Bartlesville. 

Softball games scheduled for Monday:

Dewey hosts Skiatook. Nowata goes to Yale. And Oologah goes to Sand Springs. We will have more on those softball clubs early next week.
