The Bartlesville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) hosted a Flag Day ceremony on Friday morning in downtown Bartlesville. The event was held the day before the official Flag Day on June 14.

The ceremony included a presentation of colors by Scout Troop Five, members of the Sons of the American Revolution in full colonial attire, and remarks from Bartlesville Police Chief Kevin Iklelberry on the flag’s significance to law enforcement.

"Flag Day is a time to reflect on the values the American flag represents — valor, purity, and justice," said Donna Copeland with the DAR.
