Bartlesville Man Charged With Indirect Contempt of Court

A Bartlesville man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly violating a no-contact provision on a bond condition.
30-year-old Michael McGinnis was charged on Tuesday with four counts of indirect contempt of court.
According to the Washington County District Attorney's Office, McGinnis allegedly made multiple phone calls while in jail to the alleged victim in a domestic abuse matter, while McGinnis was not permitted to talk to the victim due to a no-contact provision.
According to the Washington County District Attorney's Office, McGinnis allegedly contacted the victim via telephone 18 times, nine times by video call and messaged them once, between May 30 and June 2.
McGinnis was charged on May 29 with domestic abuse by assault and battery and still faces the charge.
McGinnis will appear in court again on June 13 at 9 a.m. His bond is set as an aggregate bond of $35,000.
