Arkansas Man Killed in Overnight Motorcycle Crash Near Bartlesville

A man from Arkansas was killed early Saturday in a motorcycle crash just west of Bartlesville, authorities said.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 53-year-old King Gray of Huntsville, Arkansas, was riding a 1994 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on the 14th Street Loop around 1:42 a.m. when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Troopers said Gray was thrown from the bike and slid about 50 feet before coming to rest in the roadway.
Gray was transported by Bartlesville EMS to Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, where he was pronounced dead. His body was later taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, including the condition of the rider at the time of the incident.
The collision occurred in Osage County, about 1,000 feet west of Bartlesville and roughly 500 feet east of State Highway 123.
