Bartlesville Man Facing Another DUI Charge

Ty Loftis
A Bartlesville man was booked into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday evening on a DUI charge. Officers made contact with the defendant in the case, Stanley Arnold after observing him swerving through both lanes of traffic multiple times. Deputies also noted Arnold almost made contact with a street sign that was in the grass.
An affidavit states once Arnold was pulling over, he jumped a curb. It is further alleged Arnold stated he had not drank any alcohol that night, but had the odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech. When asked to get out of the vehicle, Arnold used his truck to balance himself. Arnold was unable to perform standard field sobriety tests, as deputies had to catch him from falling multiple times.
The affidavit goes on to say Arnold asked to speak to a lawyer multiple times, but that wasn't the time to speak to a lawyer. Based on Arnold's physical state, deputies placed Arnold in a patrol vehicle, read him implied consent and took him to the jail.
Arnold has a previous DUI out of Tulsa County and other charges from surrounding states. Arnold has another pending misdemeanor case. Therefore, his bond was set at $26,000.
