Osage County Sheriff's Office Getting New Medical Provider

Ty Loftis
At Monday's Board of Osage County Commissioners meeting, there was discussion to go away from the current medical provider that the sheriff's office uses. If they were to do that, they would be signing a letter of intent to allow for Dr. Cameron Rumsey of Pawhuska to provide the care for Osage County inmates.
Sheriff Bart Perrier and Jail Administrator Matt Clark says it will be better using someone local than the company they use now, which isn't as familiar with the area.
Their current medical provider, Turn Key Health, was rising the price of their contract to provide their services once again and Perrier added he didn't feel like they were getting their money's worth.
The Board went on to sign that letter of intent. Perrier added that Washington County is doing something similar to what Osage County will be installing. Rumsey has been in contact with their team and Perrier says they will look to mirror what Washington County is doing.
