Osage County Deputies Staying Busy

Osage County Sheriff Bart Perrier says his department is staying busy not only covering their current workload, but re-opening investigations from the past. Perrier says the numbers show how much busier they are and adds he hopes to solve questions for families and friends still searching for answers regarding some of those cases.
Combatting the fentanyl crisis in Osage County is something Perrier vowed to do once he took office. Four months after taking office, Perrier says things are worse than he had imagined.
Since taking office, Perrier acknowledges that at times, he feels like they are treading water as opposed to getting ahead of the crime taking place across the county. He goes on to talk about a shift in how deputies will be patrolling the county over the summer.
Perrier was unable to give any updates regarding ongoing investigations.
